Biography

Biography

Moridja Kitenge Banza's practice moves between painting, sculpture, installation, video, and photography. It examines the history, memory, and identity of the places he has inhabited, in relation to the position he holds within them.

The artist deliberately blurs the line between fiction and reality to unsettle dominant narratives and open space for marginal discourse. His series draw in turn on religious iconography, colonial history, political institutions, and museum collections, redirecting them to reveal their blind spots.
